What is an Internet Video Channel? |
An Internet video channel is a special kind of web application that enables an audience to find and to choose a movie they wish to watch via a specialised menu system. The BBC iPlayer is an example of a broadcaster using the Internet to create a mass-audience channel. In most Internet video channels the video is usually displayed at a small size because the quality is too low for full screen viewing.
With your Doovle channel, you are the content owner and your audience is yourself and your trusted audience and partners. And with a Doovle channel the video starts out at a small display size but once it is playing, you can make it fill the screen of the PC, Mac or TV you are using and you and your audience can sit back and watch your movies in full and at high quality.

How do I set up a Doovle Channel? |
All Doovle customers are provided with their own Doovle channel as soon as they register with us. When you first register, you will be granted one free hour of video storage and you get a short sample movie that you can play with in your channel to help you understand all the main features of Doovle, like full-screen viewing, scene browsing, scene tagging and scene tag search.
If you like what you see, you can put your own videos into your free account as long as you store no more than one hour in total. When you're ready to place more video into your Doovle account, you can upgrade to one of our higher volume storage accounts and you can store from 5 to 100 hours of video and organise all of it into different movie folders. With all Doovle account packages we charge a simple and competitive annual subscription and you only pay for storage, nothing else.

How do I get my video into my Doovle Channel? |
You use our unique Doovle Movie Maker and Uploader application. It is unique because it first converts your video files to a streaming quality format BEFORE uploading them directly into your Doovle account. This dramatically reduces the time it takes to upload long videos.
You can run the Doovle Movie Maker and Uploader application on a PC or a Mac and you can feed it source digital video in almost any format. We offer guidance on how to do this in our Video Upload and Video Preparation FAQs.

How can I embed my videos into my own web site? |
We provide tools which let you copy and paste HTML embed code directly into your own web pages so you can deliver your videos through your own web site without the cost of engaging expensive digital agencies or the hassle of dealing with video hosting providers.
Your videos will be presented in our Doovle Flash video player and you can specify your own logo for the player and control your own branding. You can also modify the embed code to resize your videos to fit within your existing web pages.

How can I embed my videos into 3rd party web sites? |
With our embed code tools, you can provide the necessary HTML code to 3rd party web sites and external syndication partner sites so that you can control the delivery of your videos into such sites, monitor play counts and set limits on the total number of streams that can be served within a given time period.

How can I be sure that only authorised audiences can watch my Doovle videos? |
With online banking, you can only access your bank accounts if you go through a secure login process. Only you can do this. It's the same with Doovle. Your videos can only be accessed through your Doovle channel and you can only open your Doovle channel by going through our secure member authentication process.
The only exception is that you can set up trusted Guest Groups to whom you can grant access to some or all of your videos and video folders. For example you might set up one guest group for your colleagues to colaborate on your videos, and another guest group that can access other videos. It's up to you, but however many guests you invite, they must be trusted by you to keep safe the access passwords you give them.
